What are the advantages of the medium-speed engines comparing to high-speed engines?

The medium-speed engine's purchasing price could be higher but in long-term it's definitely a better investment, because of the lower speed and less stress these engines have got much longer lifetime with cheap operational and maintenance costs.

 

Can these engines/gensets run on Marine Diesel Oil (MDO) and on Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) too?

Yes, it doesn't matter which one do you prefer. Our engines/gensets can run on both of them without any restriction.

 

Can we provide also shafts and propellers?

Yes, we can couple our propulsion engines with the requested shafts and propellers. These products are manufactured by Nakashima Propeller (Japanese propeller manufacturer company).

 

Can the customers choose their preferred alternator?

Of course, we can couple our engines with all the proper alternators. Doesn't matter who is the manufacturer.

 

What kind of fuel pump system uses Daihatsu Diesel?

Daihatsu Diesel is using Bosch fuel pumps and every cylinder has got its own pump. However the upcoming gas and duel-fuel engines will possess common-rail system.

 

What kind of turbochargers uses Dauhatsu Diesel and how are they cooled?

Daihatsu Diesel is using turbochargers manufactures by Mitsubishi and ABB. These turbochargers don't require external cooling just proper isolation.

 

What kind of governor uses Daihatsu Diesel?

Daihatsu Diesel is using Woodward electronic governor systems.
